About the Project
Wooden Waves at Orange HQ in Paris is a bespoke parametric timber installation that transforms the boardroom into a dynamic, sculptural environment defined by flowing, organic forms. Developed as part of a coordinated set of interior interventions across Orange’s headquarters, the design introduces a warm, tactile presence into the corporate space, softening its character and enhancing spatial quality.
Using advanced digital design and fabrication techniques, the Fab.Pub team generated a series of interlacing wave-like elements crafted from precisely laser-cut plywood. These undulating timber forms are engineered to create a sense of rhythm and continuity across the ceiling and wall surfaces, bringing an expressive, nature-inspired sensibility into the boardroom.
The installation was developed with careful consideration for both aesthetics and performance. The parametric design process allowed for seamless integration of geometry and function, while the materiality of warm timber contributes to improved acoustic comfort and a more inviting atmosphere. Fabricated with high precision, the components were pre-assembled and rigorously tested off-site to ensure smooth installation and long-term durability.
Wooden Waves exemplifies Mamou-Mani’s commitment to blending digital design methods with craft and material intelligence, using sustainable processes and technologies to elevate everyday workspaces into compelling spatial experiences.
